Moletai region famous for laky nature belongs to Utena district that stretches in the eastern part of Lithuania and may be reached by Highway Vilnius-Utena. Moletai region is rich in mounds: Janoniai, Aukstakalnis (Antaksciai), Maisiakule, Peleniai, Smailiakalnis (Perkaliai), Juodasis Kalnas (Ciulenai), Dubingiai castle-place (place of Dubingiai castle, battles with Livonian Order and Reformation centre).
